1. How will you create a customized program for my child?
POWERMath Programs are customized to meet the unique learning requirements of every child. The first step to creating a customized program is the POWERMath Diagnostic. This test is administered before a child begins any of our programs. Based on the results of this test, we can identify the learning requirements of the child.

2. Can POWERMath tutor a special needs student?
Yes! POWERMath programs are designed keeping the learning needs of the child, and in this we are able to take into consideration any special needs of the child.

3. What is POWERMath methodology for tutoring?
The aim of the POWERMath programs is to increase the mathematical aptitude of each student. We use a six-point approach to learning: group work, estimation, individual thinking, practice, technology, and concrete study material.

4. How do you determine a child’s curriculum at POWERMath?
Students begin the program with a Computer Adaptive Diagnostic Test to determine their current academic level. Since children absorb knowledge at different rates, the starting level is based on the child’s current grade or lower. This comfortable starting point helps students build confidence, develop concentration and establish a daily study routine. Depending on our understanding of the child’s needs, we at POWERMath suggest the extent of support a child requires and develop an appropriate roadmap. Of course, students are completely free to disagree and decide their own roadmap to success.

5. How often do POWERMath students get assignments and tests?
POWERMath students get assignments after every class. These assignments are based on the material covered during the class itself. Regular practice is one of the key components of the POWERMath method. It helps in building the student’s confidence. Once a concept has been understood, 2 or 3 final tests are administered that help the child master the subject.

6. When do the students progress to the next level or the next skill?
Students must achieve close to 80 percent accuracy on each assignment and test before progressing to the next level. Through repeated practice, students are able to master each skill before moving on to the next one. Each new concept builds on the foundation established by the previous one, and new exercises constantly review and strengthen the previously learned skills.

7. Are there a minimum number of sessions for which a student needs to commit and how long is each session?
POWERMath does not necessitate a long-term commitment. However, for tutoring to be truly effective it is recommended that the student sign up for at least a few sessions.
Each POWERMath session is for an hour.

8. How much does POWERMath cost?
We provide both online and in-center tutoring. The programs have been priced differently. The details of all programs are available here.

9. How do I purchase the POWERMath service?
You can enroll for POWERMath's in-center and online programs through our website or directly at the center.
